"Bud" Weeks Date: August 17th, 1932 - July 24th, 2010 Obituary: Harold C. “Bud” Weeks, Jr., age 77 of Harpswell Neck Road, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. Bud was born in Marlborough, Mass. on August 17, 1932, the son of Harold C. and Sadie (Shaw) Weeks, Sr. He moved to Harpswell in 1946 and graduated from Brunswick High School in 1952. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy and served on a Goodwill Tour of Europe during the Korean War. After his return he graduated from MVTI in 1957. On June 29, 1957, he married Ruth Estes. Bud worked at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT until 1959 when they moved back to Harpswell. He was employed at Savell Equipment in Brunswick and Graves Tractor. In 1962, he became owner/operator of Weeks Lawn & Garden Center in Topsham, from where he retired in 1990 due to ill health. He is survived by his wife of 53 years of Harpswell; a son, Harold C. Weeks, III of Harpswell; a sister, Sally Turner of Winthrop; and several nieces and nephews.
