Name: Sarah Hayden Dorsey Date: July 21st, 1961 - June 1st, 2010 Obituary: Sarah Hayden Dorsey, 48, of Freeport, Maine died surrounded by her loving family on June 1, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on July 21, 1961 in Columbus, OH to Jennifer and the late Malcolm Hayden. She grew up in Bexley, Ohio and graduated from Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine, class of 1979. She attended The Portland School of Art and then The University of Southern Maine to develop her lifelong passion of the arts. She spent many summers on her beloved Seavey Island from the time she was a child through adulthood. There, she was able to pursue her many interests such as reading and her passion for photography. Every fall she would spend her Saturdays rooting for her Ohio State Buckeyes. She also spent a great deal of time tracing her family history. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, George “Sid” Dorsey, her daughter, Hannah Dorsey, her son Ian Dorsey and his wife Kelly, her brother, Chris Hayden, her sister, Elizabeth Keene, her mother, Jennifer Hayden and Tyler Green, whom she regarded as a second son.
