Obituary:
Brunswick—Margot S. Hawke, age 93, died at her residence Friday May 21, 2010. She was born in Stourbridge, England February 6, 1917 a daughter of Charles and Nell Adams Heathcock. She met Loring Stinson during World War II and joined him in the United States where they were married on November 30, 1946 in Fairfield, CT. Mr. Stinson died in 1975. She later married Eric Hawke in Mendon, Vt. in1987. The couple moved to Brunswick in 2001 from Rutland, VT. Mr. Hawke died January 10, 2007. Mrs. Hawke had been a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Rutland and was currently an active member in St. Paul’s’ Episcopal Church, Brunswick. She found a great deal of pleasure in the arts, whether music or theater. She audited several classes at Bowdoin College and took full advantage of the education course provided through her community at Thornton Oaks. She possessed a traveler’s spirit and looked forward to her regular returns to England and trips through Europe as well as her travels throughout the United States. She is predeceased by her sister, Barbara Pierson. She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte McCain of Corrales, NM, Dilys Stinson of London England.
