Alfred E. Kilgour, age 95 of Brunswick, formerly of Southbury, CT, died Monday December 7, 2009 in Brunswick.
He was born in Detroit, MI on September 18, 1914, a son of John Alfred and Eva Maude Edmison Kilgour.
Alfred attended Detroit schools and then Albion College in Michigan. He continued on to MIT where he received his Electrical Engineering Advanced Degree. He worked at Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee, WI and Boston, MA and retired in 1978.
He married Alice Randall on June 27, 1938. She died on April 13, 2006.
Mr. Kilgour was an Eagle Scout and received a 75 year award from the Boy Scouts of America. He was a longtime Wood Badge Instructor and a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award.
Surviving are his two sons, David L. Kilgour and his wife, Edie of Brunswick, and John A. Kilgour and his wife, Ning of Clifton Park, NY; three grandchildren, Ian L., Kyle B., and Laurel Kilgour; and one great grandchild, Madeline Grace Kilgour.
