Name: Edwin Fenimore Date: September 30th, 1926 - September 5th, 2009 Obituary: Edwin Fenimore, 82, of Foreside Road died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Coastal Manor in Yarmouth. He was born Sept.30,1926, in Saddle River, NJ, a son of Matthew and Mary (Seeberger) Fenimore, and attended school at Brunswick HS. Moved to Maine as a young boy with his family, which began a family farm in Topsham. He married Geraldine Mae (Pardur) Fenimore in Brunswick on Nov. 15th, 1952. He continued the family farm "Pine Ridge Farms" in Topsham. Built a flourishing business, which furnished to local groceries, also into the Boston market. In 1974 he was employed by Bowdoin College, Brunswick, ME on the Grounds Crew, doing landscaping for almost 20years making his mark with beautiful gardens which can still be seen there, before retiring in 1991. He was a quiet man, who loved his family and friends grealty. Interested in World War II history, he also always watch closely the football and baseball seasons too. He did so enjoy strumming his guitar in the evening and was always an avid gardener. Besides his wife of Topsham, he is survived by three daughters. Cathleen A. Hanscom, USVI, Joyce E. & Paul Sobolewski of Bridegwater, MA, Mary Elaine Atkins of Topsham, ME; five grandchildren, Allyson (Hanscom)McDougall, Jamus M.Hanscom, Brittany L.Sobolewski, Ryelle E.Atkins, "AJ"Alfred L.Atkins IV; and one great grandchild, Kayla McDougall. There will be visiting hours, 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Wednesday, September 9, at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick where a funeral service will be held at 1PM Thursday with Rev. Ron McLaughlin officiating. Interment will be at Bayview Cemetery in Bowdoinham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Alheimers Association of Maine, 170 US Route#1, Falmouth, ME 04105.
