Name: Myrna L. Benoit Date: January 30th, 1932 - July 11th, 2009 Obituary: – Myrna Benoit, age 77 of Durham Road, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Mid Coast Hospital. She was born in Harrison on January 30, 1932, a daughter of Harry and Nettie Edson Kimball, and attended Harrison and Bryant Pond schools. For most of her life, Myrna was a stitcher in shoe manufacturing. She had worked for over 20 years at Auerbach Shoe, and later at L.L. Bean from where she retired. She married Robert P. Benoit in Norway on November 26, 1958. He died on November 29, 1987. She had lived in Durham for 48 years moving there from Lewiston. Surviving are her son, Michael R. Benoit and his wife, Paula of Englewood, FL; two brothers, William Kimball of Freeport and Harry Kimball, Jr. of South Paris; five sisters, Hazel Parlin of Topsham, Muriel Brine of Norway, Phyllis Saucier of South Paris, Dorothy Saucier of Auburn, and Freda Nelson of West Palm Beach, FL.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
